Our Story

Homeward Animal Shelter is a local and community-funded, non-profit animal shelter. We provide a second chance at happiness to lost, abandoned, and owner-surrendered animals and are committed to preventing animal overpopulation and spay/neuter all animals 6 months or older before adoption. Since 1966, we have found forever homes for over 41,000 animals. During this difficult time, animals are in need of care as much as they always have. Members of the community have generously stepped up to foster cats and dogs, which allows us space to care for the homeless pets that come to us from local pounds. We provide all of the supplies fosters need, and this is where you can help. Your donation will allow us to purchase cat and dog food, treats, and cat litter.
