Our Story

Just $66 provides a night of safety at YWCA Emergency Shelter, where healing and the journey toward a future free from violence begin. With a caring advocate walking beside them, women and children find safety, food, clothing, and resources for health, employment, and parenting. We also help locate a new place to live - including our own safe, affordable, short- and long-term supportive housing opportunities for families with low incomes. Our human trafficking unit operates with a special understanding of the complexities of this extreme abuse. YWCA's empowerment approach is unique and life-changing, and we serve more than 1,500 each year. Thank you for changing lives with YWCA with your gift this Giving Hearts Day!
